The Famous B5 Jumpgate Pin

"Original" Jumpgate Pin

Own a piece of true B5 history with these elegant Jumpgate Pins! These Pins have the honor of being THE first B5 merchandise ever offered to fans of the show. They have been approved by J. Michael Stracynski himself, who owns THE first <*> Pin.

Unlike anything marketed by any large, faceless corporation, you are buying these pins from THE original artist. This make this the most unique, meaningful gift you can ever give to anyone who loves the show. Learn more about the history of the Pins
here.

Jumpgate Pins are lovingly handcrafted from genuine high-quality brass, then professionally electroplated to create the midnight black effect on its recessed background. A delicate lacquer finish is then carefully applied to protect the metal.

Pin dimensions for Original version (pictured above): approximately 2.5 inches by 1.25 inches (Metric: 6.3 by 3.1 centimeters) Dimensions for lapel pin-sized "Junior" version: approximately 1.25 of an inch.

Each individual Pin comes in a gold jewelry box. A special Certificate Of Authenticity nestles inside the box with the Pin. The pins used to come with individually numbered little certificates. Now each little certificate comes personalized with your name (or your choice of names) and hand-signed by the original artist. Find out more.

Your Pin Purchase
Will Directly Help a
Stage 4 Cancer Patient

In June 2007, your pin artist was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was treated in Portland, Oregon just before I moved to Southern Nevada. Now, two years later, the cancer is back and has spread to the liver. I am at Stage 4. There is no Stage 5. The tumor is showing signs of being under control, and with your help, it can stay that way.

I am being treated at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. I will give permission to their resident social worker to talk to anyone who needs to verify my story.

I can give you beautiful pins and you can help improve my chances at life. I call that an even trade and I thank you for your help. :)

I want to publicly thank the science fiction fan community for their tremendous outpouring of support during Christmas of 2009 right when I needed it.

I had delayed my chemotherapy because (a) my landlord needed the room I was living in and I had to move during the holidays (b) I didn't have money for the move (c) didn't have money for the various medicines I needed to support the chemotherapy and (d) I was down to ramen for food, which any cancer professional can tell you is NOT a healthy diet for a cancer patient.

The money from the sales of the Pins covered all those expenses. I was able to get back into chemotherapy. I was able to find a supportive, new place to live. I got just enough money to cover everything needed to survive the holidays. THANK YOU ALL for making that possible.

I still have challenges. Now that the worst is over, I still have a recovery road ahead of me, so a little more help is could make quite a difference in building my own new life. I now have a vision of good work I can do from home even while chemo keeps me from doing a day job. Spread the word about the Jumpgate Pins, my friends, so that I may not just survive, but thrive!  :-)
